Rest among beautiful nature

The Jizera Foothills are beautiful landscapes and unspoiled nature, available literally at your fingertips for walkers, cyclists and motorists.

An unforgettable experience is also rafting or canoeing one of the two largest rivers in the area – Bóbr and Kwisa (www.splyw-bobrem.pl, www.pontcar.pl).

For lovers of rest by the water (including pedal boats, kayaks, canoes) and angling (fishing), artificial water reservoirs await – Pilchowickie, Złotnickie, Leśniańskie and Wrzeszczyńskie lakes, each closed with a hundred-year-old dam, accessible to the public.

Extinct volcanoes

As we have already written, the Jizera Foothills are also a land of extinct volcanoes. Wandering the slopes of one of them – Ostrzyca Proboszczowska – you can admire a rare landscape of volcanic rocks, mainly basaltic. The prize for the hardships of climbing the top of the mountain will be a beautiful panorama of the area, especially on a clear day.

ROCK FORMATIONS

The area is also abundant in rock formations of non-volcanic origin. Some of the more famous ones are Szwajcaria Lwówecka (the Lwowek Switzerland) and Panieńskie Skały (the Maiden Rocks) in Lwówek Śląski. You should also explore the mysterious interior of Dziki Wąwóz (the Wild Gorge) on the border between the villages of Maciejowiec and Pokrzywnik, admiring along the way Dziki Wodospad (the Wild Waterfall) to finally reach the Bóbr river near Zapora Pilchowicka (the Pilchowice Dam).

BICYCLES

The location of our farm encourages cycling trips – along the existing cycle paths and along a network of roads and paths among fields, meadows and forests. During the warm season (spring – summer), amateur races and bicycle tours are also organized in the area.

The Jizera Mountains are a real paradise for cyclists of all ages.
